OOTD - Blush Pink Bodysuit

Can you notice a trend for me? I've been borderline obsessed with the colour blush pink, and it's an addiction that's carried me all through summer and now well into fall.  When I saw this light-coloured bodysuit from Dynamite, I knew that it had to make it's way into my collection.  I love the colour, as it's more on the nude side of things, and it pairs so well with this black high-waisted mini skirt.  Add a pair of white kicks to keep things from looking too 'club wear' and you're good to go!

I'm not huge into jewelry; I usually like to keep things to one item per outfit and for that reason, I like for that one item to be really special. This gorgeous floral watch from Olivia Burton is such a special piece and is always a conversation started - I mean, who doesn't love flowers!

I just wanted to take some time to chat about this Hieleven blush pink bucket bag.  This is, without a doubt, one of my absolute favourite bags and I'm still in awe of the quality for the price point. For a genuine leather bag, in such an on-trend colour to be in the $100.00 range is amazing. The leather itself is coated and makes the bag very low-maintenance, so it's perfect for Fall when it can go from sunny to raining in an instant.

What do you think? Do you guys have a colour, and seem to gravitate towards it? Let me know!

OOTD - Blush Pink For Fall

Now that the air has definitely cooled, I think that it's safe to say that Fall has arrived. Not wanting to do-away with my summer wardrobe just yet, I've been relying on old tips and tricks to transition warm-weather pieces into autumn. For example, option for a longer hem in my skirt. The midi skirt is a great transitional piece to keep in your wardrobe as it keeps your legs warm during those cool mornings, but you're able to breath once the temperatures rise in the afternoon.  Pair this entire outfit with a leather jacket and you're ready for whatever temperatures this crazy time of year will throw at you!

OOTD - What I Wore To The Nordstrom Gala

Happy Friday Noobs! Those of you that follow me on Instagram saw that I had recently attended the Nordstrom Gala, to celebrate the fact that Nordstrom has finally opening its first location in Toronto, in the CF Eaton Centre.  The night was absolutely incredible and I had so much fun exploring this exciting new additiona to Toronto retail.  For the gala, I kept my look simple with a sleek white dress and my favourite pair of "going out" pumps. Add a pink bag and some killer curls and I was ready to party the night away!

A HUGE shoutout to Alicia from The Queens Shoppe who blowdried and curled my hair to perfection. I could not stop staring at myself as I left the salon and basically emptied out my collection of dry shampoo trying to extend this style as long as I possibly could. It's safe to say that I have found my go-to girl when it comes to big-occasion hairstyles.  If you're in the Toronto area, definitely give The Queens Shoppe salon a try!

What do you guys think? Are you into the pseudo-Marilyn Monroe look? What do you wear on big nights out? Let me know!

OOTD - Grey and Pink with Joe Fresh

For those of you who follow me on Snapchat (lapetitenoob) or Instagram stories, you know that this past week has been a busy one for me.  This self-proclaimed grandma had party after party this week and by the time the weekend rolled around I was pooped and craving casual clothing. Thank the Lawd for Joe Fresh; once I spotted these grey jeans and pink sweater from them I knew that they had to be mine. This casual outfit is perfect for running weekend errands, when you still want to look put together without resorting to leggings or sweatpants.

Can I just say how much I love these jeans?  I never thought that grey jeans would be for me, so I'm sold on this pair from Joe Fresh. One thing for us petites: the legs are quite long.  I rolled the bottoms under for the photos, but they're definitely in my "please hem" pile to bring to the tailor.

What do you guys think?  Are you feeling the grey and pink together? What is your casual weekend look like?  Let me know!

OOTD - Pink For Fall

If you haven't noticed in the stores, pink seems to be everywhere for Fall - and this girl couldn't be happier! Finally I can indulge in my love for the girly shade, without garnering the reaction of "wow, that girl really likes the colour pink."  To celebrate, I paired my two favourite pink pieces for fall together: an oversized pink blazer and my Geox pink New Symphony block-heeled shoeties. The result is the perfection transitional summer-to-fall everyday outfit, while still staying on-trend.

Jacket - Topshop (actually a dress that I wear as a jacket), Shoe - c/o Geox
Dress - Forever 21 (old), Bag - c/o Hieleven

I honestly cannot say enough good things about these Geox shoes. Comfortable would be an understatement, as I often walk all around the city in them without problem. I also absolutely LOVE the colour and love how these is a subtle sparkle throughout the shoe.  Needless to say, I will be sporting these babies on the regular, as long as the weather will allow for it!

What do you guys think?  Are you as happy as I am that pink is a staple colour for fall, or are you more into neutrals? What do you think about the shoe?  Let me know!

OOTD - Destroyed Denim

One of the hardest things to shop for as a petite gal are jeans. I can't tell you how frustrated I've been in changing rooms, surrounded by a pile of denim that would all need alterations to fit my short legs properly. Over the years, I've figured out a sneaky little trick to avoid an emotional meltdown in the change room: if you can't find jeans specifically for petites, always look for a 'cropped' cut.  What is cropped for the average sized girl is the perfect length for us petites! These cropped, destroyed jeans from Dynamite are the perfect length for me and because they have a good amount of stretch to them, they actually fit the booty - score!

I've been on the hunt for a white handbag for some time now, and found the perfect white leather tote from Hieleven. The May Top-Handle Bag is made from genuine leather, and is the perfect size for when you need to throw your life into a bag and just go! I continue to be impressed by the quality of Hieleven bags (remember my blush pink bucket bag from the summer), and the price points are pretty incredible - under $100 for a high-quality, leather handbag? Yes please!

What do you guys think?  Do you like the jeans?  What are some tips that you have when buying denim? Let me know!

OOTD - Lace Up Pumps

As the weather cools and the days get shorter, I find myself gravitating pieces in my wardrobe are a bit darker and moodier.  That must be why when I saw these black velvet, lace up pumps I knew that they has to be mine.  I love the interest that the straps give to an otherwise very basic outfit; case in point, I actually wore this exact ensemble to work prior to the photos being taken and the shoes completely changed the entire outfit.

Also, can we talk about these black culottes? Another Le Chateau find, I wasn't sure if I would get much use out of them when I picked them out - and have since worn them countless time! The pants have a built in, adjustable belt at the waist so it's perfect for us small-waist-big-booty ladies. I have a feeling that these culottes will be in heavy rotation well into Fall.

What do you guys think? Are you into the lace up pumps? How has your personal style changed as we go into Fall? Let me know!
