If there's one thing that remains constant in my personal style for the spring and summer, is that I love long layering pieces. Be it the oversized blazer I was obsessed with in Spring, and now to this long white vest - layering pieces are key, especially when you seem to be outgrowing the majority of the hemlines in your closet (now that I'm in my thirties.) When I saw this long white vest from Le Chateau, I knew that it had to be mine. All of a sudden my pale pink mini-dress takes on new life with this layering piece over top. Paired with a pair of nude heels and my favourite silk neck scarf, this is 100% the type of outfit you will catch me in for after-work drinks and events.

I honestly cannot get enough of the silk neck scarves this summer: flight attendant chic, as I call it! It's amazing how little details can make the most impact, and solidify themselves into your personal style. In fact, I forgot to wear a silk necktie one day and my buildings concierge asked "no scarf today?"

I love laying longer pieces over my shorter pieces that may be a little too risqué for the office otherwise. Such a great wardrobe trick to have up your sleeve. Looking great Joelle!
