OOTD - Two Piece Floral Dress

Summer has arrived and with it brings the fun-packed days and warm evenings.  I love the transition into warmer weather dressing, especially when it comes to getting dolled up for a night out.  There is something so liberating about stepping out sans coat and letting your outfit take centre stage.  This two piece dress from Dynamite is definitely a show-stopper, and perfect for summer; the matching twin set instantly makes you look pulled together, and the material is nice and breathable (without being see-through.) Paired with a pair of chunky heeled sandals and a fun clutch and you're ready to party well into the evening.

What do you guys think?  Are you excited as I am for the warmer weather?  What's your go-to for a summertime night out?  Let me know!

OOTD - What To Wear To A Wedding

It's that time of the year when the weather starts to warm, the trees flower, and those save-the-dates that have been sitting on your fridge become a reality - yes, it's wedding season!

Though it can be overwhelming some years, I personally love when wedding season comes around but am always left wondering what to wear. You want to be respectful of the cut and colour of your dress, but still comfortable enough to cut a rug to your favourite songs on the dance floor.  This blush dress is perfect for wedding season, and will definitely be making the rounds with me this year.  Though white can still be a controversial colour for weddings, a light blush is a safer alternative and still very festive. Bonus points for the stretchy fabric and waist detail, that allows you to feel comfortable enough to go in for that second piece of wedding cake (am I the only one who loves fondant icing?)

Bracelet - Cherry Pick

Though I've raved about these Stuart Weitzman Nouveau Pumps in previous posts, I just have to again.  These shoes are hands down the most perfect, comfortable pair of pumps that I've ever owned! I never fail to receive at least on compliment when I'm wearing them, and I can literally walk in them for hours.  If you're in the market for a pair of classic nude pumps that will go with absolutely everything, then  I definitely suggest giving these babies a try.

What do you guys think?  Do you like the idea of a blush dress to wear to a wedding?  What do you feel most comfortable in for wedding attire?  Am I the only one who loves fondant wedding cake?  Let me know!

OOTD - Blush Leather Jacket

I'm back! After a whirlwind of a European trip, I'm back home in Toronto and that means back to blogging.  Prior to leaving for my trip, I did manage to fit in one sneaky outfit shoot while on a 'blogger crawl' with some of my favourite blog gals: Eleni, Gabriella and Tara. For those of you who aren't following me on Snapchat (username: lapetitenoob), a blogger crawl is when us girls all pile into one car and spend the day frolicking though the city and doing everything that our man-friends would never have the patience for: brunch, flowers, gratuitous coffee photos - the works!  It's always such a fun day and it's great to spend time with girls who have the same passion for blogging that you do.  If you haven't already, I definitely recommend setting up your own monthly blogger crawl!

Anyways, back to the outfit. (Can you tell I'm jet lagged? I can barely keep my mind on one topic at a time!)

When I first laid eyes on this blush pink drape-front suede and leather jacket from Bernardo Outerwear, I gasped. It's so rare to find a light pink leather jacket, much less one of such high quality, and you guys know my obsession with blush runs deep.  I love the different textures of leather and suede, and the colour is just too good.  Being petite means that the sleeves ran a little big, but nothing a trip to the tailor can't fix. Paired with some white denim and my absolute favourite Stuart Weitzman nude pumps, this jacket is a breath of fresh air from your typical black leather.

This adorable little Danielle Nicole handbag is a cherished gift from when I had the pleasure of meeting the designer herself!  Danielle and I met briefly as she was jet setting through Toronto, and I'm so happy that we had the opportunity to chat - she's so sweet! I was grateful for this handbag, since this particular day there were chances of showers and vegan leather is perfect for such a weather forecast.

What do you guys think?  Do you love the blush leather jacket?  How would you incorporate it into one of your outfits?  I would love to know!

OOTD - Old Navy White Jeans

Spring weather to me automatically means white denim.  I have seriously been loving my white jeans this season, as you can see by practically every outfit post featuring them! One of the questions that I often have asked is where my favourite white jeans are from, and my answer is simple: Old Navy. Thick enough to not be see-through, just the right amount of stretch and petite sizes - yep, I love me some Old Navy jeans! Paired with a light blue off-the-shoulder top and some platform sandals and all of a sudden my beloved jeans have a seventies vibe to them.

I feel like I'm hoarding blush bags lately, but this sweet little faux-suede fringe cross body had to come home with me. The fringe is so subtle and a great way to add interest to any outfit.  Plus since it has two zippered openings, the bag can hold a lot. I'm so glad that I scooped up this baby for the upcoming summer season music festivals.

Now for a bit of exciting news - Old Navy just went through a massive renovation at Yorkdale Shopping Centre and the results are absolutely beautiful! Check it out for yourself on Saturday, May 7 from 12noon - 4pm, and shop their spring collection - including this outfit, and receive a gift with purchase!

What do you guys think?  Did you have a hard time finding the perfect pair of white jeans as well?  What are your thoughts on the off-the-shoulder trend?  Let me know!

OOTD - Floral Maxi Skirt With Ever New

For those of you who have been following me for some time, you know that I've had a long journey in discovering my personal style.  Sometimes I feel as though I'm still figuring my style out, but throughout the whole journey one thing has stayed consistent: I have a soft spot for florals.  Anything with a floral patter makes my heart sing, and if it's done in a light and airy fabric then I'm sold.  When I first saw this floral patterned maxi skirt at Ever New, I knew instantly that it had to be mine.  Coupled with the retro-inspired lace crop top, block-heeled sandals and a sweet little mini bag, and I'm ready for Spring and Summer.

Finding your personal style is definitely an ongoing journey for me, but my love for florals is here to stay. What do you guys think? Do you have one thing consistent with your personal style, or is it ever-changing? Are you into the floral maxi skirt?  Let me know!
