OOTD - Striped Dress At The Beach

As much as I love living in the big city of Toronto, I often find myself dreaming of the beach - especially on a sunny day!  Thankfully I have the urban oasis of Sugar Beach in Toronto to help to quell my beachy cravings; sure it's sandwiched between an old sugar refinery and an office building -but it's got white sand and pink umbrellas so naturally I'm sold!  You guys know that I love dressing the part to set a scene, so an easy striped dress and a retro head-scarf seemed like an easy choice for this urban oasis.

I've dubbed this striped t-shirt dress my "weekend dress," since every time Saturday rolls around it seems to make an appearance.  There's something so effortlessly cool about a t-shirt dress, and it's definitely my silhouette of choice for the Summer months.

Similarly to the t-shirt dress, I love a little cross body bag in the summer for it's effortless style and comfort.  This Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac is a long time favourite of mine, and love how it can fit all of my essentials without weighing down my shoulders.

What do you guys think of the t-shirt dress?  Do you like to dress to set a scene too?  What about a "weekend uniform?"  So many questions!  Let me know your thoughts.

  1. This beach looks lovely actually. I have nothing similar to a beach in the city I live in, so I'd even take an urban one! My weekend wardrobe usually consists of skinny jeans and a flowy blouse. Yours is much more chic!

  3. These days my weekend uniform pretty much consist of a bikini and my "swim shorts" out at the cottage haha. But you know how much I love striped dresses, so let me know if you see any good ones!

    1. LOL I love the cottage looks! This particular striped dress is nice - no prockets, but thick enough material that you don't have to worry about it being see-through.

  4. Sugar beach looks awesome, I really want to take a day trip there, I live just out of the city I don't know what's taking me so long to visit, lol! The t-shirt dress looks gorgeous and I love the headband in your hair. This dress is exactly something I would wear on the weekends, as I like to dress up a little if I'm going out. The rest of the week I'm in workout or work clothes lol!
p.s. Love your foot tattoo :) Have a great day!

  6. I really don't know how I've lived in Toronto for years and I still haven't made it to Sugar Beach. It's kind of sad.lol. I actually love shirt dresses. They are so versatile and comfy. Looks amazing on you too!

  7. Triangle styles work best with smaller breasts as they do not provide the support required by larger breasts. Beachwear
