OOTD - Striped T-Shirt Dress

What - a weekend post?  It's a total blogger faux-pas!  Well, welcome to the weekend Noobs and please excuse me as I try to get back onto a regular blogging schedule as a result of a particularly crazy week.  I wore this outfit out on a scorchingly hot and humid Friday night and, as glad as I am to be finally experiencing a heat wave, it's a little too late since I'm already in the fall fashion frame of mind.  Enter my newest favourite item - a navy striped t-shirt dress.  Add my much-loved toeless booties and a trusty felt floppy hat (perfect for concealing hell-week hair) and I feel as though I've made a nice compromise between late summer weather and fall fashion.  Read on for more photos of this transitional summer-to-fall look and all outfit details.

Dress - Zara (sold out - similar), Floppy Felt Hat - Forever 21 (similar)
Booties - Steve Madden Nonstp, Purse - Marc by Marc Jacobs Percy

I am having a love affair with t-shirt dresses lately.  Chalk it up to a few too many patio dinners and cocktails, but the loose fit of this style of dress is exactly what the doctor ordered.  I'm also enjoying the effortlessly put-together look a simple t-shirt dress can give and look forward to pairing mine with some fall knits and a pair of booties.

I hope you have a great weekend and here's to getting back to regularly scheduled blog posts.

  1. Love this outfit! It's similar to my Madewell dress, so easy and effortless. I picked up a long sleeved one for fall as well. A girl can never have too many stripes!!

  2. I love this dress on you! I've been wanting one myself but I think I'm a little too hippy to pull them off. Also, I always blog on the weekends! Haha. It's fun to do whatever you want. ;)

    1. Yes Kimi, it's true blogging should be about doing what YOU want - after all it is your personal space! Sometimes I get so fixated on my schedule and routine that it is almost painful to deviate from it - lesson learned!

    1. I highly recommend the Marc by Marc Jacobs bags! They tend to be a little heavy, but this cross body Percy is just so practical - it comes with me whenever I travel!

    1. I say definitely make the jump and get the similar dress! I find it so versatile - I've been wearing it on it's own or with a chambray shirt layered and tied on top :)

  7. So, it's a new year. Time to clean out the closets and get rid of all those old nasty pit stained t shirts. They were probably cool shirts in 1980 but now, they are just tired. Go ahead and put them in the bag for the thrift store. They are not vintage, or retro. They are just old and worn. Custom Iron On Patches
