The Victoria day long weekend is drawing to a close, and I am so sad to see it go. As soon as I quit my complaining about the weather in my last post, Mother Nature pulled through and blessed the city of Toronto with a gorgeous holiday Monday. My husband and I took full advantage of the day - riding our bikes along Lake Ontario, having lunch on a patio downtown and just enjoying the city. Not wanting the day to end, we decided to dress up and get a few drinks to celebrate a great weekend. I last wore these pants here during chilly weather, and am happy to report that they transition nicely for the summer as well. The material is so light and silky, that they almost feel like pyjamas; add the drawstring waist and you almost feel like you're cheating wearing these pants out - so comfortable. Read on for additional photos and outfit details.
Patterned Jogging Pants - Forever 21, Mint Tank - H&M, Shoes - Aldo (old) similar Purse - Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac, Sunglasses - Karen Walker Number One |
This Rebecca Minkoff mini mac has gotten so much use since I bought it about two years ago. The size is compact so that it's not cumbersome to carry around on a night out, but it's still roomy enough to carry all of your essentials. The colour of this particular one is 'Almond', but I'm tempted to purchase another one in black and gold.
To my fellow Canadians, I hope that everyone enjoyed their long weekend as much as I did! To our neighbours to the South, enjoy your long weekend to come!

Thank you Claire - and thanks for the sweet comment about my waist. It was nice to hear that after a weekend of over indulging!
DeleteCan I just say that I LOVE those pants. Perfect transition piece.
ReplyDeleteI was in the Eastern Townships for the long weekend. We were graced with a beautiful Saturday and Sunday, but yesterday turned out chilly and grey. Perfect excuse for bundling up on the outdoor couch with hot tea and a good book :)

That sounds incredible! As much as I love the city, I can't wait until I can get away to a cottage to do the exact same thing!
DeleteI'm sad I missed the nice weather but glad I got to see your fantastic outfit. Comfy cool!
