OOTD - Winter Is Coming, Get Yourself A Coat

I feel like I've been talking about the weather a lot lately, but as the temperatures in Toronto teeter from Fall to frigid, I can't help but state the obvious - Winter is coming. Us Canadian gals have the near-impossible task of staying true to our own personal style in the colder months, without freezing our buns off. For me I've never been one to let the weather dictate what I can or can't wear, so instead of succumbing to the typical black parka this winter, I'm going all-out in a blush pink faux fur jacket from Saks OFF 5th.

I personally love wearing faux fur in the winter. The material itself is actually really practical since it's so warm, and it adds such a fun texture to any winter outfit. I've had my radar on for a blush pink winter coat for months, so imagine my reaction when I saw this beauty in the racks of Saks OFF 5th. To be honest, I had quite the haul of coats going on in my change room and, while I was almost swayed by a pink feathered coat, this blush pink beauty won in the end.

Because we're not at sub-zero weather just yet, I can still get away with bare legs covered by over-the-knee boots. Paired with a sweater dress and topped with my blush pink jacket, I'm definitely staying true to my personal style while keeping warm.
