We all have those repeat offenders in our closet. You know, the pieces that you love so much that you can't help but find any excuse to wear them. My favourite pick-me-up article of clothing in my closet is this flowy, floral midi skirt. I will find any excuse to wear this skirt, and am constantly trying to mix-and-match pieces to disguise the fact that I'm wearing my favourite floral skirt - yet again (see here and here). To make the black-background of the floral print more appropriate for summer, I paired it with a black haltered crop top. Thirty year olds can wear crop tops too, right? Right! Take a look at how I styled my favourite midi skirt for a walk around my neighbourhood in Toronto.

In my last post addressing blogger FOMO, I touched on owning your own area and exploring your neighbourhood. Although I live in the big-city of Toronto, I'm situated in one of the quieter areas of the city - definitely not a trendy hot-spot! I actually love being a part of one of the underrated parts of Toronto, and just love discovering new hidden gems in the area. The people are also friendlier in my area; so friendly in fact that they oftentimes can be found watching my photos being taken, and even offering their own art direction! I think the awkward look on my face can sum up how I feel about that!

Absolutely love how you styled this skirt! Way to rock the crop-top. I always try to pull out new bold pieces when I am item repeating, or alternatively I tone it down with minimal colours and accessories.

Great tips Gabriella! I'm glad that you like the crop top - I'm becoming a fan!
DeleteCan you ever go wrong with florals? I mean they kind of need to be repeated. The skirt is gorgeous on you.I go through phases where one month I will be obsessed with wearing one item and then the next month somehow I will have a new item on repeat.

LOL so true Eleni, although at least you change it up every month. I'm a creature of habit!
DeleteI LOVE floral skirts and the midi length is my favorite. You look gorgeous! XO -Kim

DeleteSuch a great look!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteMy biggest repeat offender is probably my chambray shirt. With a skirt, jeans, jogging pants, over dresses. Basically everything! haha
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to explore your hood when I come visit!

I love a chambray shirt as well! Mine is kind of a darker wash, so I'm on the hunt for lighter.
DeleteYes so many spots to explore, hurry up and come to TO!

Thanks so much! I am definitely guilty of over-wearing these shoes, but they're SO comfortable!
DeleteThis skirt is gorgeous! And really goes well with everything you've paired it with. I have a long, high waisted pink skirt that I am in love with and wear it all the time switching up the tops and accessories. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Karen! I love a good high waisted skirt as well - being a short gal, it makes a midi skirt look flattering instead of making me look like a mushroom.
DeleteThat skirt is so beautiful , and it looks great on your body type . where can I get it?
ReplyDeleteThank you! This skirt is older from Asos, however they typically stock floral midi skirts throughout the year!
