OOTD - Pale Blue Maxi Skirt

'Tis the season for the maxi skirt, and this Noob couldn't be happier!  As someone who's body mimic's the shape of a pear, a maxi skirt is the perfect way to stay cool in the summer without being uncomfortable.  Long time readers know how fond I am of my blush pink maxi skirt, so I had decided a few months ago that I needed to add another to my collection.  Imagine my delight when I saw this pale, flowy beauty at Zara.  This maxi skirt is perfect and although Zara describes the colour as a pearled grey, to me I pick up more of a pale blue.  Paired with a simple black haltered crop top, I think I've found my summer go-to outfit for warm nights.

As much as I absolutely love this beautiful maxi skirt, buyer beware - it runs extremely large.  I had to get the waist taken in over four inches, and may even bring the skirt back to the tailor to take up the hem.  I ordered the smallest size, so keep that in mind when choosing your own.  As a petite girl, I'm no stranger to taking my clothing to the tailor for some altering and definitely recommend it to anyone who struggles with finding a good fit.

Of course Fritz needed to make a cameo.  Just a girl walking her pet monster, your typical sight on the streets of Toronto!
