OOTD - Winter Chic with Faux-Fur

As with most Canadians, I think that I'm pretty much over Winter at this point.  This weekend we in Toronto were hit hard with a wicked snowstorm that took possession of our fair city.  The snowfall was unreal and didn't stop until early Sunday morning, leaving behind a surprisingly beautiful and serene Winter wonderland.  Not one to waste the day (or a photo opportunity), I popped on my favourite faux fur snood overtop of a classic bell-shaped wool coat and was ready to face the outdoors!  Read on for additional photos and outfit details.

Faux Fur Snood - Asos, Coat - Zara
Bag - Marciano, Watch - c/o Daniel Wellington

As much as I have been enjoying my top-handle Philip Lim Pashli, I have to admit that it doesn't get more Winter-friendly than a cross body bag.  This purse from Marciano was purchased years ago when I was still a club-dwelling 'woo girl', and has transitioned nicely into my tamer adult life.  Nothing like being hands-free as you need to teeter through un-plowed sidewalks and walkways in heeled booties.

How did you stay warm this weekend?

  1. Flawless pictures! I totally hibernated this weekend drinking coffee and looking through big books! Hoping Mr.Sun sticks around a while longer. We can get through this :)

    1. Yes! Although I could do with a few more degrees added to the current temperature, I could get used to all of this sunshine. I actually have a countdown to March 8th, when we get another hour of sunlight in the afternoon. How sad! ;)

  2. Awwww, you Torontonians and your fear of snow. The weather on Saturday was nothing! haha.
But cross body bags are definitely the way to go in the wintertime for hands free. I need my balance!

    1. Thanks Courtney, you definitely need this snood! Word of caution though, it definitely is not lipstick-friendly (you'll notice the various shades of pink and red that it's been stained in the photos.) LOL!

  6. I can't manage winter and look as chic as you! My uniform has been a sweater, scarf, skinny jeans (or trousers for work), and boots.

    1. Awe thank you, but I can assure you that I look like a disgruntled snowman most of Winter. Sounds like my kind of Winter Uniform!
