Mondays always come so soon, don't they? I hope you all had a great weekend and were able to enjoy some fantastic weather. The weather in Toronto was near perfect - sunny and warm with the slightest breeze to cool you off. I really can't believe that we're nearing the end of summer, so I'm trying to pack every ounce of free time up with outdoor activities, patios and fun! This outfit is a perfect patio outfit - the Ikat mini skirt adds a lot of personality, and it balanced by a simple grey tee and my trusty pair of boots (no sandals for this gal). This bandage skirt is something else. It's made it 10% rubber, and really keeps everything in place - my fellow bubble-bootied sisters will know exactly what I'm talking about. The company is Pleasure Doing Business, which I suspect has gone out of business (oh the irony). Such a shame, since I have had this skirt for years and it still looks brand new, which is a testament to the quality. You can still find this exact skirt, and other from the same brand on e-bay - at a heavily discounted price to what I had originally paid for it! This look is easily replicated using any Ikat, or colourfully printed mini or bandage skirt.

It really is interesting. It takes a couple wears to get used to the feel of the rubber - it makes the skirt very stiff. But, now that I've gotten used to the feeling I love it - it really sucks you in!

DeleteI actually very rarely wear socks in general - I'm kind of crazy like that ;) Most of my shoes and boots have thin insoles in them that I replace frequently to keep things fresh. I wish I could find socks that are suitable for booties though (without them slipping off of your foot)
