OOTD - All Black + Club Monaco Shoes

Maybe you've noticed, but lately I have been trying to push myself out of my all-neutral comfort zone  and incorporate a little more colour into my wardrobe.  While I have been pleased with the results, and have noticed a visible difference in my mood (no joke), sometimes it's nice to just stay within your comfort zone - and for this Noob that means all black.  There is something so striking about an all black ensemble; even in the case of this outfit, which is very simple in that it is just a pair of shorts and a loose t-shirt, the fact that it's all black makes it that much more put together.  Plus black is slimming, and when you've been over indulging all summer and it's either go to the gym or find an alternative - an all black outfit it a godsend!  Read on for additional photos, outfit details and a pretty fantastic pair of shoes.

T-Shirt - Club Monaco, Shorts - Club Monaco, Shoes - Club Monaco
Bag - Marciano (old - similar), Sunglasses - Céline

Club Monaco is one of my favourite stores, and when I heard that they were offering shoes to their product lineup, I couldn't have been happier.  I managed to score a pair of embossed leather 3 inch pumps in a recent sale and when they arrived at my doorstep it was love at first sight.  The quality is outstanding, and I'm still in disbelief that I was able to get a pair of super-comfortable, leather-soled, made-in-Italy pumps for under $100 - high fives for that!  There are still a number of styles in their sales section, and keep your eyes peeled for one of their many coupon code promos that they seem to run frequently.

Disclaimer - don't mind the copious amounts of Fritz fur that I'm covered in.  I knew I was going to take photos in an all-black outfit, but couldn't resist a cuddle session with the little guy.

Whats your comfort zone?

Have a great Friday,

  1. I love a good black on black on black outfit! We don't have access to the Club Monaco website here in Quebec, but our one Montreal store is moving into a bigger location and they're going to start carrying the shoes! Yay!

    1. No access to the website?! That's awful! We should start a petition - but I'm glad they're opening up a new store in Montreal. I would love to check it out the next time I'm there!

  2. I personally love all black outfits. Leaves room to add a fun pop of color (like your lipstick!)

    1. So true! I would have loved to have a fun, colourful clutch to add to the look - it's on my 'must purchase' list ;)
